At KingMason Nigeria Limited, we looked at that problem and saw potential. What if we could turn plastic waste into an engine for jobs, innovation, and manufacturing? That question led us to build something truly transformative.

Introducing AI-CIRCO

AI-CIRCO is Africa’s first AI-powered circular economy platform. We started in Abuja in 2022, and today, we’re processing over 2,000 tons of plastic waste each year with a team of 45 dedicated people.

This isn’t traditional recycling. AI-CIRCO is an end-to-end ecosystem built to solve the core problems that have held Africa’s recycling efforts back: inconsistent quality, high costs, and lack of traceability.

What Makes It Different

We use artificial intelligence to identify and sort plastics with near-perfect accuracy. Our system cuts collection costs by up to 40%, improves output quality by 85%, and even helps manufacturers get exactly what they need, when they need it.

Collectors earn three times more through our digital payment system. Factories get reliable, high-grade recycled plastic with full transparency. And we reduce energy and water use throughout the process.

Real Impact

By 2027, AI-CIRCO will have diverted over 300,000 tons of plastic waste from the environment, created more than 500 new jobs, and avoided 120,000 tons of CO₂ emissions. We’re also on track to add over $25 million in value to Nigeria’s economy-just by recycling smarter.

Backed by Results

We’ve already partnered with major players, onboarded over 20 local plastic collectors, and built strong relationships with recyclers and manufacturers. Our systems are fully developed and operating, without a single dollar of outside investment so far.
